If you’re looking for a classic coffee that’s a little bit more laid-back, but still has that involuntary “mmm” factor, this is the one for you. It’s the coffee that’s somehow friends with everybody. The immediate milk chocolate sippability and pastry-like sweetness of this coffee has a very “cup-o-joe” crowd-pleaser quality to it, while it’s hint of lemon-juice sophistication keeps it bright and refreshing.

Here is a note on the coffee from our friends at Hacea Coffee Source:

Guatemala Huehuetenango HER Coffee comes from the village of Quom in La Democracia, Huehuetenango—a region defined by its highland landscapes, rich Mayan heritage, and fertile soils at elevations of 1,500–1,800 meters. The volcanic-influenced microclimate, together with cool mountain air and well-drained soils, allows coffee cherries to develop slowly, resulting in dense beans with layered flavors and natural sweetness. This terroir reflects the care and tradition of the local community, where coffee is both a livelihood and a connection to generations of farming heritage.

This lot is produced by 18 woman-owned smallholder farms, each cultivating Bourbon, Caturra, Catuai, and Catimor varieties with precision and care. At Hacea Coffee Source, we serve the roasting community through development, collaboration, and connection—bringing roasters and dedicated producers together across the globe. HER Coffee amplifies the voices of women producers, providing market access, recognition, and the opportunity to share the exceptional quality of their coffee with roasters in the U.S.

In the cup, Guatemala Huehuetenango HER Coffee offers a balanced and vibrant profile: aromatic notes of dark chocolate and bright orange lead into rich flavors of chocolate and nougat, finishing with red fruits, praline, and citrus. A creamy mouthfeel and medium body, combined with a gentle citric acidity, highlight the care and expertise of the women who grew it.

By choosing HER Coffee, roasters and consumers also support women’s health at origin. For every bag purchased, Hacea Coffee Source makes a donation to Grounds for Health to fund one cervical cancer screening kit. One bag equals one kit—providing life-saving screenings and treatment for women in rural coffee-growing communities.”
